Review
Raleigh Crusie is the woman that was invisible. You know the type. The wallflower that attends a gathering and then you couldn’t tell someone the first thing about her. While Ezra McDuff if not only the high school football and baseball coach but popular. He’s the kind of guy that has always been popular. The same guy that Raleigh has crushed on for years. All through high school and now into adulthood. She never expects him to notice her. Then she not only falls but knocks him right on top of her in the process.
Poor Raleigh. This gal is accident prone to the point that she has a doctor on call 24 hours a day. She is a teacher at the high school with Ezra and is forced to take over his sex-ed class because he is so busy. A class she is terrified to teach. This couple could not have been better together. Think about it for a moment, can you imagine what it would be like if your high school crush finally noticed you years later? Not just noticed you but noticed everything that he had missed for all those years. Everything that has always been right in front of his face.
There were moments in this book that gutted me. It was funny at times and there was a moment when Raleigh voices how much being invisible hurts that left me in tears. This book is the perfect example of why I fell in love with Lani Lynn Vale’s writing. She takes a couple who could be your friends, neighbors, anyone then she peels the layers and shows us their souls. We see ourselves in many of her characters. Our hopes and dreams as well as our fears are brought to life in her words. So that when she finish read we immediately turn back to the first page and take the ride again and again.

This is a great title and I love the character’s name Raleigh. I had a great uncle with that name but I love it as a feminine name! The book also sounds like a good read.
