Arrowed: Resort to Murder 4
Cozy Mystery
4th in Series
It all began when a dying man with an arrow in his chest grabs her ankle.
During a heat wave at a Santa Fe resort, Julienne has the resort owner pressuring her to solve the murder. The victim is a high profile business man who made enemies rather than friends, leaving Julienne with a roster of suspects. She was supposed to be training the staff and spending quality time with Mason rather than investigating a murder. The heat turns up when an old girlfriend of Mason’s checks in and is determined to get back together.
Arrowed is the fourth book in Avery Daniel’s Resort to Murder series and is an exciting contemporary cozy mystery. If you like Cleo Coyle, Maddy Hunter, Duffy Brown, Lynn Cahoon, and Annette Dashofy, then you’ll love this series with a strong intelligent sleuth, lavish settings, and tantalizing mysteries.

Thoughts from Marissa
I am so tickled to get a guest post. I’m just Mason’s sister and Mason is Julienne’s boyfriend. So I am not a main character, but I think my character is important. If you’re interested, I’m happy to share a few thoughts, let me just fix my makeup!
I’m a nurse that specializes in acute care. I don’t appear until the third book, Spiked, but I am protective of my little brother Mason and I think Julienne is good for him. I especially like the fact that she has stood up to our father, an Air Force General, who is used to getting his way and telling people how it is going to be. In this book I get closer to Julienne and I feel as though I am gaining a sister. That is something new for me. I always wanted a sister, somebody who I could turn to that understood my family.
I can be a force of nature, and as Mason’s older sister I’ve always been in his business pretty much all his life. I never liked any of his girlfriends before and I made that clear. When I met Julienne, I felt Mason had finally grown up, stopped dating based on looks alone and was finally interested in substance. Not that being pretty is a bad thing, but the girls he dated before weren’t interested in Mason for anything more than his looks, his hanging with celebrities at times, and his appearance of money.
What I see in Julienne is a woman who likes Mason for who he really is and wants a genuine relationship. She also won’t put up with his crap. She broke up with him when he didn’t see anything wrong in posing as celebrity’s boyfriend when he was an undercover bodyguard. He needs a woman who is strong enough to stand up to him, but can forgive him and work things out. Besides, she seems to like my bear hugs, unlike Mason’s other girlfriends.
Can you tell I like Julienne? She even accepts my big sister role and seems to like me in return. I have my fingers crossed on that issue. In this story I do the big sister thing and kind of butt in, again. I tried to not be too intrusive, and I was all too aware that this was supposed to allow Mason and Julienne to have some romantic alone time, but it was an emergency. Dear old dad was meddling and I had to run interference. I only had breakfast with Julienne and dinner with them both, then a nightcap. But best of all, I even helped sleuth a tiny bit!
I guess time will tell if Julienne can tolerate my being the interfering big sister and dad trying to command Mason’s life. I’ll do everything within my power to help her out, if she’ll let me. I’m too old for a slumber party, so I’m thinking maybe a girl’s trip to get to know each other better! I hope to see you in the next story!
