Welcome to March 2023 Authors of the Month. I know this post is a little late. I like to have these up early but y’all know why so I’m going to just get started on sharing this month’s authors.
Two of the authors this month are familiar to me while one is completely new. She came from the list the readers gave me. So I’m excited to learn more about her as well.
Lexi Blake
If you have been following me for a while you know that I love Lexi Blake. You also know that Ian Taggert is my favorite dom of all time! I mean he just cracks me up and makes me melt all in the space of a single page. I know I share quotes from time to time but honestly I can’t talk about Ian Taggert and not share some of goodness.
“Family didn’t give up. Family kept going”
“If you betray me this time, shoot me. Straight through the heart. Make sure I’m dead because I don’t want to live in a world where you betray me twice. Promise me.”
“You have an interrogation room?” Charlie asked, her voice incredulous. “Doesn’t everyone?” He wasn’t going to apologize for having a proper home. Dungeon. Check. Interrogation room. Check. She didn’t even know that he’d turned the shed in the back into a detention cell. Now that he thought about it, he really had made this house into a home. He just needed Charlie to pick out shit like curtains. Should he put curtains in his detention cell?”
Of course that is not to say that none of her other books or series aren’t good. They are just as amazing and I love them. Her writing as Sophie Oak is how I actually discovered her. The town of Bliss is a place that I would visit if it were real.
Claudia Burgoa
I have only read one book by Claudia Burgoa, so when she was mentioned by a reader I thought why not. I enjoyed the book I read. It was very funny and I loved the characters.
I’ve had several readers of the blog suggest her to me over the years and now is the time to dip my toe in. With little more than therapy to do at the moment I have several series to start and this author is certainly on the pile.
Deborah Harkness
Can I admit that I know who Deborah Harkness is because of a television but that I have never read the books nor watched the show? Don’t ask me why I just haven’t.
Please don’t come after me for having not read them. I know it is a popular series. I just haven’t gotten to it as of yet.
