Bella Colton is a journalist and goes undercover at the local beauty pageant after her friend Gio has died as a result of an eating disorder. A disorder that both Gio and Bella believe started in the beauty pageant circuit. While she believes all pageants make girls and women feel the need to be thin she believes the one in Mustang Valley is the worst, in more ways than one. So she enters the contest to prove it.
Holden ST. Clair is undercover at the Mustang Valley beauty pageant circuit looking for a serial killer, Everything says the killer will strike here and he is going to be ready. He just doesn’t count on his attraction to Bella. He figures out right away that Bella isn’t there to win any prizes and his attraction is immediate.
I really enjoyed this one! Bella is Spencer’s sister so she is from the distant branch of the Colton’s as well. Holden and Bella has an instant chemistry and attraction. One that will burn down the pages! Add in the mystery and this one was an edge of my seat read. On a side note though… poor Payne is still in a comma.
