Colton Manhunt Series: The Coltons of Mustang Valley #6
Genres: Romantic Suspense
She’ll do anything to find her missing sister.
Only a Colton cop can crack this case.
The last thing K-9 Sergeant Spencer Colton needs is another routine missing-persons case. But Katrina Perry is insistent on finding her twin sister—at all costs. And as things become anything but routine, so do Spencer’s feelings for Katrina. Someone will stop at nothing to get Katrina out of the way, though. And only Spencer has a chance of keeping her safe…
In this book we meet a different branch of the Coltons of Mustang Valley. Three siblings who are cousins to the rich branch. Spencer is the oldest and the siblings had a bit of a hard time after their parents died. Never the less Spencer has become a K-9 officer with MVPD. He is also one the officers investing what happened to Payne Colton, who by the way is still in a coma. Katrina Perry is a dog-trainer who is trying to find her twin sister. The sisters have a difficult past but seem to be working to overcome.
I will admit at first I didn’t like Katrina’s sister. She seemed a bit selfish leaving Katrina to worry the way she did. Of course when all of the information comes out I felt differently. I liked Spencer, he works hard and doesn’t seem bitter that he doesn’t have what his cousins have. He is genuinely trying to figure out what happened to Payne. The chemistry between Spencer and Katrina is seen in every interaction. Since we are midway through the series I say this was good to keep me reading to find out what is going on with the Coltons and that dang cult. Those people are flipping creepy.
