Cannon by Marie James
Series: Cerberus MC #12
Genres: MC Romance
I’m the fun guy.
The one always quick with a joke.
The guy who is crazy enough to do wild things to make people smile.
That’s how people see me.
That’s who I’ve presented myself to be.
That’s how I introduced myself to Rivet.
The first female Cerberus team member wasn’t impressed with my corny pickup lines and wide smile like the other women I use it on.
And why should she be?
She’s seen it all and lived to tell the tale.
She took one look at me and decided she wasn’t interested.
I should move on, but her rejection stings.
I can’t seem to let it go.
I can’t get her out of my head.
I also can’t figure out if it’s the chase I crave, or if this woman is someone special I’ve been missing in my life.
So that really only leaves one thing…
Do I show her the real me?

While this book can be read on its own I highly suggest that you read the others int he series. It will introduce to the other characters and what it is these guys actually do. It gives you that fuller picture. We have seen Cannon in the last few books so he was a character I already wanted to know about. He is the fun guy, the one who laughs and jokes and generally doesn’t take tings too seriously. We met Rivet in the last book and she put Cannon on his butt. Rivet was once a Marine and knows that getting involved with the boss’ son in anyway is not something she’s eager to do.
I really enjoyed everything about this book. The fact that Rivet is out with the rest of Cerberus doing the dangerous missions while Cannon is left home to worry made it even better. It was the perfect Marie James book. Plenty of spicy and action scenes to rev your engines but also enough peppered with the softer side to make you melt.
