Before long, Tom finds himself accused of a crime he didn’t commit, and as the truth slowly surfaces, he’s forced to confront painful secrets from his past. The choices he makes will determine the path his future takes.
Susan Gray has skillfully woven a tale of love, betrayal, and redemption. The 1920’s setting adds an irresistible charm, immersing readers in a world of glamour and intrigue. The characters are wonderfully developed and relatable, drawing you into their emotional journeys.
The suspense is gripping, keeping me on the edge of my seat as I followed Tom’s quest for the truth. The story’s emotional depth was moving, evoking everything from heartache to hope.

About Susan Gray
‘Never too old to follow your dreams’ has become Susan Gray’s mantra since beginning to write novels after celebrating a significant birthday. Susan endeavours to entwine the genres of mystery and romance and sets her novels in the early Twentieth Century. She lives with her husband in northeast England – setting her books in this picturesque area. She has a son and daughter, both married, two granddaughters and a grand dog. When not writing she loves to spend time reading, puzzling, walking and catching up with friends over a coffee. She enjoys travelling and tries to include many of the places she has visited in her books. Her plots are inspired by ‘life’ and how her characters navigate the waters. She loves to ‘people watch’ and creates her characters based on the many strangers she has observed. She has written six novels.
