Always Salty by Lani Lynn Vale
Series: Semyonov Bratva #4
Genres: Mafia Romance, Romantic Suspense
Was it considered stalking if the woman you were stalking liked the idea of being stalked?
It started out like any other job.
My brother, the head of the Russian Mafia, wanted me to delete an opponent. Like the good brother I was, I decided to give him what he wanted.
In doing so, I ended up finding a woman that made my cold, dead heart start to beat again.
One day while doing some reconnaissance on my target, I happen to overhear Keely telling her friend one of her darkest fantasies, and I decide that I’d be the one fulfilling that particular craving for her.
I tell myself that it’s only once. I’d give in to that darkness inside of me once, and I’ll leave her alone from then on.
Except, once turns into twice. And twice turns into way too many to count.Just when I plan to cut all ties so she doesn’t start to develop feelings for a killer, I find out that Keely doesn’t have just one stalker. She has two. And the one that wasn’t me wanted her dead, and I couldn’t allow that to happen.
Not to her.
Not to the woman that not only chased my demons away, but also didn’t care that I had them in the first place.

Review
I always say how much I love Lani Lynn Vale books and I do but this one had me rolling in laughter at times. It was so funny without meaning to be. Dima Semyonov is his brother’s right hand man after getting out of the military. He is being a good brother and watching a target when he overhears Keely talking to her friend.
That moment is all it takes and Dima becomes Keely’s stalker. Well one of them at least. Dima is obsessive, in the borders on crazy kind of way. He sets his sights on Keely and lets just that night vision goggles in the bushes are not off the table. It should be 100% creepy but it isn’t. You can’t help but love Dima and understand him and all of obsessiveness. His inner voice though I loved! He is self-aware and just so honest.
Keely has been through a lot and while you would think that Dima would be too much for her, she loves it. She understands Dima in a way that even his family doesn’t. She knows that she is just as messed up as he is and I am there for it. Together the two of them have off the charts chemistry, are able to talk to one another about anything, and just get each other. They are relationship goals!
I am certain there is a little of Lani Lynn’s husband in every man in every book but I honestly wonder how much more of him is in Dima. Not the crazy but the way he banters with Keely, his nieces and nephews that adore him and more. Dima just felt like a more personal character.
Of course the side characters are always so much fun. There were plenty of tense moments and the plot twist at the end I didn’t see coming at all. A perfect end to an amazing series. Now bring on the next series!
